Club Nova is based on the successful Clubhouse Model

Our History

  • 1987

    Club Nova is founded under auspices of a community mental health center

  • 1991

    OPC Foundation purchases the property for Club Nova

  • 2002

    Club Nova Thrift Shop opens to the public in the 1st floor of the Annex

  • 2004

    Club Nova Apartments are opened

  • 2006

    Club Nova is divested from OPC Area Authority and becomes a freestanding nonprofit

  • 2007

    Second floor of the Annex is renovated to provide room for Administrative Units

  • 2012

    Club Nova raises funds to purchase the Club Nova property from effort of a community mental health center

  • 2016

    Club Nova launches Building Campaign to build a new building on current property

  • 2016

    Club Nova awarded GlaxoSmithKline Award for Community Impact

  • 2021

    Club Nova breaks ground for whole new Clubhouse building

AWARDS

We have been recognized on many occasions for our uniquely effective, community-based mental health recovery Model and for our passionate commitment to our members. Our Model has also been recognized as an evidence-based Model by the U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and is the recipient of the Conrad N. Hilton Humanitarian Prize.
